Phosphoric acid may be used as a "rust converter", by direct application to rusted iron, steel tools, or surfaces. The phosphoric acid converts reddish-brown iron(III) oxide, Fe2O3 (rust) to black ferric phosphate, FePO4.

"Rust converter" is sometimes a greenish liquid suitable for dipping (in the same sort of acid bath as is used for pickling metal), but it is more often formulated as a gel, commonly called naval jelly. It is sometimes sold under other names, such as "rust remover" or "rust killer". As a thick gel, it may be applied to sloping, vertical, or even overhead surfaces.

After treatment, the black ferric-phosphate coating can be scrubbed
off, leaving a fresh metal surface. Multiple applications of phosphoric
acid may be required to remove all rust. The black phosphate coating
can also be left in place, where it will provide moderate further
corrosion resistance (such protection is also provided by the
superficially similar Parkerizing and blued electrochemical conversion
coating processes).

That's a Neil Young song.

The best, and cheapest way to get rid of rust on tools is thusly:

Get a big jug of white vinegar and pour it in a plastic pail. Dissolve
as much regular salt in it as it will take. When you get salt on the
bottom and it's not dissolving anymore, no matter how hard you stir,
it's enough.

A gallon of vinegar will probably take a couple of pounds of salt.

Place rusty tools in the liquid overnight. Make sure the liquid
*completely* covers the tools, or you'll get a line across the metal you
will NEVER get rid of.

This liquid removes only rust and is reusable for months. It's also non
toxic when you finally pour it out in the back of the garden.

Try it on something of no value first, like a rusty nail. After an
overnight soaking, remove tools and give them a good rinsing with fresh
water. Then, either oil the tools or paint them with a thin coat of rust
proofing paint.

If you're really thorough, rearrange the tools once in a while, so all
surfaces get exposed evenly to the vinegar mixture.

This is the best best method I've found for cleaning up old rusty
ferrous metal.

defective types like yourself.

It's sad in a way, yet quite funny in another. Your family must have
cramps from all the eye rolling they do when you're around.

Your being exposed BDK your Government Shill time is over.

BWHAHAHAHAHAHA!

This time on the aniversary of 911 the majority will request a real
investigation and as most the internet stuff was pulled it was kept by
911 truth seekers knowing the shills were online to gather such
imformation and dispose of it quick before the Bush administration
tells what they did.

LOL, I need to huff some paint so I can understand what the hell the
nonsense above means.

Keep a watch out on Gabriel Guildfords as she is going to be the
next biblical Antichrist, having one dead head and one not so dead, it
is said she will be accompanied by her husband Mark of the beast
Kelly.Now would that not be a ticket?$$$$$$

CIA/NASA mind controlled Gabby and Mark fulfills scripture!

And you just proved that you are totally bat**** crazy. No point in
denials anymore Joe, you're THE Troofer kook of kooks.

-or- ! Spray-On Antiperspirant !

-and-why-do- Deodorant Users {Men}
usually claim to use-it in 2-Spots . . .

-while- Antiperspirant Users {Men}
usually claim to use-it in 3-Spots . . .

You dont sound like little mice chatter you have a whoooshing sound
kinda like shill #2,but more of a slushing sound it almost remines me
of a comode plunger on its back stroke.

I wish I could tie in the universal translator, oh wait, it doesn't
exist, kind of like your sanity.

You mentioned comode, Yeah,,,, in fact of the business, I am workin on
my old sixty four years old comode. It has the real Good old timey
mechanical parts inside the tank. The little brass part at the top where
the rod screws in there and the float screws onto that rod, that brass
part, the threads are corroded. The Lowe's store had the kit, about
$15.00, I need to overhaul my real Good old comode.
It Works every time.

You might try the new fangled gadgit BDK has designed. Its a bidet
with a built on agitatoir. She will just sit there for hours. but she
still needs the rubb on deodorant.

I could hook a little plastic pipe to one of the water inlet pipes to my
bathroom sink and let the little plastic pipe be between the comode seat
and the porcelain comode.I would put a plastic elbow on there to get the
right angle.Just reach and turn on the water a little.I might try that
out.
