Terk Loop/Lafayette HE-10
Using this combo, the old HE-10, 8 tubes, sort of like a bigger brother
of the S-38. With a good ground and the Terk loop, I am pulling in some really great AM DX. I am only a mile from the ocean, Atlantic coast, and have yet to hear some European stations. Did pick up the big blowtorch from Saudi Arabia on 1521. Trying to get all the states east of the MS, so far doing pretty well. I could use my newer portables, but going old school is fun, brings back the fun in DX'ing. |

Any run of the mill tube radio front-end has better specs than most solid state radios. That Lafayette ran circles around the Halli. Great piece of design. |
