That was a Gambian rat . Must be a former pet : our regular type is a
Norway rat . These are slightly smaller in size .

Make a "T" out of 2 by 4s. Make the vertical part just long enough to
jam a sheet of drywall agains the joists. Kick it up under the middle of
the sheet, start nailing.

I have never done any sheetrocking before.Use an 8 foot stepladder, make
a jig to fit on top.I have a bunch of old Fine Woodworking magazines
here, all kinds of real Good home made jigs in those magazines.I like to
read up on that kind of stuff.You can buy a professional rig for
sheetrocking, bit they cost a lot of money.Those lezzies who used to
live in that house next door to doggy's couch, they did some
sheetrocking on the ceiling in the front bedroom of that house.
They did a real Good job of it too.

I started hanging drywall when I was 14. Learned how to make that kicker
when I was 22 or so. Then the guy who taught me disappeared for the rest
of the day (to get supplies).
