With RIT and IF shift, it looks to be a fairly substantial, well
featured, but bull**** free, radio.

Any reviews in service, yet?

Seems well liked except for "that guy", who hated it.

What's so secret in the 30-35Mhz range?
ITU says: FIXED / MOBILE

There can always be something 'secret' in most any part of the radio spectrum.

One of the things I liked to look for (along with Glenn Hauser) above 30 MHz
were harmonics of various SW broadcast stations when the sunspot cycle
supported propagation.

I'd just use a scanner capable of receiving AM hooked up to a nice hank of
wire.

People have the RIGHT to Listen to Any and All Radio Transmissions. Honey, wash your hands. They are a little sweaty!

Any right to listen is overridden by various national regulators such as the
FCC in America.
Consider the following Icom receiver:

Amazing specs with an amazing price ($13k). Frequency coverage from 0.005 -
3335 MHz.
However; cell bands (822-851 and 867-896) are blocked in the USA, and
in France; coverage over 30Mhz is limited to ham bands and FM broadcast.
Unbelieveable.
Incroyable.

Good stuff dxAce.
I recall hearing harmonics of AM broadcast stations, but wondered whether
they were just a figment of my radio's mixers.
