Where can I send my Drake SW-8 for repairs?
Drake doesn't seem to want to do it..
The story behind the radio is that it was working perfectly until I turned it on one day and there was no audio from the speaker. Audio is still good from the aux out connection. I bought a couple replacement audio output IC's, and replaced the original. There is still no change. |

Contact John Kriner at Drake, 937-746-6990, apparently his personal business
will repair the R8 series, as well as the others. Brenda Dyer wrote: Drake doesn't seem to want to do it.. Next, is there one or two electrolytics in series with the output from the audio IC? Something like 470uF / 16 volt. I would replace those capacitors if possible. Jim (MI) |
