Arrah, it was a Silvertone radio. Airline name belonged to Montgomery Ward stores/company. Are we confused yet? It was a common looking ordinary radio/dark brown bakelite plastic cabinet table model radio. My mom was a sales clerk at the local Jackson Sears & Roebuck store. Ten percent off the regular store prices.

My first serious shortwave was an Airline with a 12 inch 350Vdc
speaker that threw me across my room once. It had a pointer and a Magic
Eye. You could get every AM station in the world on it.
