How Sound Is Transmitted via Radio

This is a well-done film from the 1940s showing the basics of AM
radio broadcasting — and it also beautifully evokes the Old America
of the time, before the current dumbing-down and racial decline
really took hold. Make sure and watch it in full screen, as the
resolution is quite good:

Notice the station is using 833A tubes as _drivers_! And gotta love
that open-wire feedline.

In Space, nobody can hear you scream. At 20,000 feet above Earth, a shotgun blast sounds like striking a match. One time I had to strike a match to see if that light was lit.
