Google,,, Why we are doomed to watch tv reruns forever A lot of times I look up my favorite genres of Good old movies that are in the public domain at Youtube and other movies sites on the Internet. There are many thousands, perhaps millions of real Good old movies I have never seen before.

If you want that stuff spend $75 on a Roku box. There is all the "Golden
Years" of TV content you want, along with Saturday morning B-pictures. I
remember when a kid could party all day Saturday on a couple quarters.

Y'all ever noticed that on weekends it's like the News takes a hiatus untill Mondays or Tuesdays roll around?

True. It's called the "Friday afternoon newsdump".
"Often, the White House sets the release of bad news and unflattering documents to late Friday afternoon. The Pentagon and other agencies also use the practice, a legacy of earlier administrations. Michele Norris discusses the Friday news dump with two veterans of the practice: Torie Clarke, the Pentagon's chief spokesperson until June of 2003; and Joe Lockhart, a former Clinton press secretary." Listen at http://www.npr.org/templates/story/s...toryId=4725120

The American public has been so dumbed down it works like a charm. The Sock Puppet in Chief announced suspension of half our constitutionally guaranteed civil rights by extending the Patriot Act on a Friday afternoon and there was nary a word of protest. Who can be bothered with such trivial matters with the weekend on tap? Football, booze, etc.

Last night I was watching the latest episode of Jungle Gold on Tee Vee. During the last half hour of that program it was like three minutes of TV commercials and one minute of the Jungle Gold program, it was like that over and over untill that program was over. Redicolus beyond compair!, it was. Those two Jungle Gold guys, I am fixin to do a Google for their net worth. Hey, Shelby Stanga is worth about $400, 000. He once sold two million dollars worth of old logs he pulled up from the Swamps.

The program is scripted, they are morons -- or both.

1) How did they get one million dollars in debt? Couldn't they have put
on the brakes before the debt got so high?

2) Why did they ever think they could buy $70,000 of gold for $35,000?
Gold is "universal"...no VIN on an ingot of Ghanian gold, an ounce of
gold is ~ $1600 bucks anywhere, no matter what. Why would they think
someone would sell it to them for half price?

3) They keep saying they are broke -- but they can hire 2 trucks & 2
excavators at a moment's notice, hire half the town to dig for them, pay
the property owner 35 or 50 grand for the rights to mine and forever
keep flying almost half way around the world back to Utah at the drop of
a hat (and that ain't cheap).

Stupid or staged?

My bet is on both: stupid (or at least gullible) viewers watching a
staged program.
