People are afraid of mental illness and stigmatize it. It needs to be talked about openly and in public. Most -if not all- people are mentally ill to varying degrees. It should be mandatory for health insurance to cover mental illness just as cancer is covered. Shame due to mental illness is an unnecessary burden.
