Greetings.

I am interested in copying repeater in Iowa.

http://www.airnav.com/cgi-bin/navaid...ame=POCAHONTAS

I am in NH on a hilltop with closest Power lines 1/4 mile away. Antenna is 3' am broadcast loop. Should I expect to copy 25W signal at night with decent receiver?

Thanks
Bob

I've never chased LW beacons but I'd imagine a very narrow bandwidth would be your friend. Slow speed CW doesn't need much bandwidth at all. The extra bandwidth just lets in extra noise.

Have you caught anything else on LW, say Euro broadcasters?

No. I haven't dabbled too much lately. I'm not sure what propogation paths LF will follow.
