Last night around 8:30 EST on 14.130 (I think) I heard something called the
Pacific Voyagers net and had a great time listening to them relaying
positional data, weather and traffic through net control in "6" land
somewhere. Great stuff. I contacted the Seven Seas Cruising Assn. today
thinking that they would be able to give something of a list of the
available maritime nets and so forth. They were very helpful but regrettably
didn't have much of that info.

I'm trying to find a book listing net times (not limited to maritime alone),
topics, freqs, etc. I tried ARRL but didn't get allot of info. I'm wondering
if anyone in here knows of such a publication and how one might attain a
copy of it. Thanks.

Thanks for the response. When I called ARRL it was in the afternoon so maybe
they just wanted to get outta there for the night. I'll head over there and
check it out. I picked up an IC 706MkIIG a couple of weeks ago and I'm
having a ball hunting through the general coverage receiver portion of it.
Not used to that. Last rig that I still have is a Kenwood TS 520S, and
before that was a Hallicrafters FPM 300 that I operated for years. Needless
to say, the Icom is the newest HF rig I've ever owned. Again, my thanks.

(www.arrl.org).
Just explore the drop down menus until you get to publications. It's
pretty
good with a lot of nets listed. Of course there are many casual nets that
are not listed.

Also, at around 8:00 AM Eastern, you can pick up another boating net
on either 14.3 or 14.313 (I forget which).

What you want is a copy of John Norfolk's NETS TO YOU. It's updated
monthly and is available free online. It's located at Glenn Hauser's World
of Radio pages and for the life of me I can't remember the address. Do a
Google search for Hauser's World of Radio and you'll find it. Very
comprehensive list.
