Theys works because they are made of metal. :-)

A slinky is about 30 feet long, and its the extra, multiple antenna lengths
that count..
( & your car is REALLY gonna look funky if you stretch a slinky cross da roof

They work because they are made of metal. :-)


Well, yeah. But so's a hundrded feet of stretched out wire.
And when you can attach an antenna wire to a Slinky, hang it
out a window, and get BETTER reception than the hundred feet
of wire...

Wassa Slinky????

A toy spiral wire thingy that could walk down stair steps -- seriously.
Makes a makeshift antenna.

JS,

On a recent trip to Toys-R-Us they had some near the check out axiles
for about $3. They were about the size of the smaller Slinky JR's,
but they were not being sold under the Slinky Brand Name. Instead
that were labeled "Metal Spring Toy" (Made in China).
