Repair on Sony ICF-SW55?
 
Well, looks like my Sony SW55 is in trouble. The display has gotten
erratic and the controls are not working much of time. Then it will suddenly
work perfectly...but not for long.
Well, the Sony Repair Center is an option. Of course, their posted rates
run at $89.00/hour plus. That's a lot for an older radio. Any other options
available here?

I have the same problem. Shipped to Sony under their swap program but they didn't have one ans could not repair it because parts are no longer available.
