Smarter than you, no doubt. Advocating it? No. There are a lot of problems
with it. The main thing being noise to the point it would likely be useless
but the ringer voltage is not a concern if done correctly.

OK smart-ass you going to build the filter ³correctly² for every newbe
hobbyist in the group that may want to try it? No? Then why bother
posting to the thread. Since it¹s got a lot of problems and most likely
useless you must be looking for an argument.
