Anyone know what the imput impedance of a Sony portable might be?

AFAIR rather low, nowhere near the 600-or-so ohms of an ATS-909. On FM
it's supposedly ~75 ohms for a 7600G. Be aware of the switching voltage
present at the antenne input, so you don't short anything out.
