Slingshot method from hanging a wire antenna.

Here is an article on how to cheaply and easily run a wire antenna
using a slingshot, and a fishing pole.

I wish I knew some young, bold pilot who'd like to climb our big fir tree !
It would be nice to have a single vertical wire run from the top to the
insulator on the trunk and then over to the apt to my radio. Our elevation
is over 250' as it is, and the tree is at least 80' s. OTH, maybe a sloper
would better - sheesh, who can choose from so many :) ?

I've tried sling shots, and find tossing a 5 ounce fishing weight over the limb I want is much easier. (Especially when I have a friend who is a former pitcher do the tossing for me.)

I've always just used a rod and reel. With a little weight on the line, it
works just hunky-dory!
Besides, it'sgood practice!
