The Grundig S-350.
Very good sound (not quite as good as the SuperRadio, but better than most portables). Excellent MW/AM reception (better than the SRIII, in my experience). Decent on shortwave, but boy does it drift. That's my $.02. "Singleton" wrote in message om... In terms of listening to NPR on FM, the GE SuperRadio sounds like what I'd like. It's the right size not to slide between my desk and the wall, apparently has a big enough speaker for good audio quality, has an AC power cord instead of a DC converter (I won't use it on batteries), and is reasonably priced. But I'm curious about shortwave broadcasts and would like that capability too. What would be the closest approximation of the GE's virtues with the added benefit of decent shortwave reception? |
