help for an old radio
Can anyone help I'm trying to get back into SW and get my 8 Year old
interested. I dug out an old radio that I forgot where I picked it up but it has to id's on it and I'm not sure what voltage to feed it as I'm quite rusty at this. If anyone can help I would appreaciate it. Also Can you still get QSL cards anymore as I thought it would be a great aspect for my son? I can't seem to attach the pictures! |

No ids? No names or numbers anywhere? Is it a battery set? It should be easy enough to see if it takes AAs or Cs or Ds or whatever. There is almost always a battery outline in the battery compartment to indicate which way they go in. Also Can you still get QSL cards anymore as I thought it would be a great aspect for my son? Yes. Most, but not all, stations still respond. I can't seem to attach the pictures! Frank Dresser |
"PDLCOFFEEGUY" wrote in message ... [snip] I can't seem to attach the pictures! Posting binaries to newsgroups from AOL is a bit involved. The instructions can be found on the FAQ which is periodically posted the aol.newsgroups.help group. However, rec.radio.shortwave is not a binary group. You can post radio releated pictures to alt.binaries.pictures.radio. Frank Dresser |
