I had seen two forsale, both in good clean condition. One was selling for $150 and the other $175. George http://www.MilAirComms.com |
based on performance they are worth $100-$125 since a satellit 800 is 10
times better for about $250-$300. anyone who pays $200 or more for an FRG-7 is a fool. unless it is mint in the box and the buyer is a collector. I've seen them go from $300.00 (which I thought was too
much), all the way down to $75.00 (which is an outstanding price, as long as the receiver is in excellent shape). $150 - $200 is about average. One of the real advantages of this receiver is its lack of synthesizer noise. Kiwa and International Radio both sell filter kits for tighter bandwidths, and these are also worth the $$$. 73, Steve Lawrence Burnsville, MN "GeorgeF" wrote in message news:3F65FC3A.40309@licensed4funREMOVEBEFOREFLIGHT .com... | | | Joe Coltraine wrote: | Just wondering what the average price of the FRG-7 is these days. The thing I can't get past about the 800 is it is butt-ugly.
