Noam Chomsky is Jewish. Not half or quarter or something, but a full
blood Jew. Why do some Jews turn against Judaism?

In the specific case of Jews, I don't exactly know. I'm not a Jew, and I
don't know any Jews who have shared any particular problems with Judisiam
with me.

But I don't know why there are Christian kooks, either.

He rejects it (religious aspect of Judaism) like most atheists reject
religion. He is pretty much a straight up rationalist. I wouldn't use the
term 'turn'... I would say 'found it useless'.
