no new messages in some groups
 

On Yelena, I'm not getting any new messages in rec.radio.shortwave and
sci.astro.amateur. There should definitely be new messages, because I haven't
downloaded any since last evening. All other groups I've tried so far have what
appears to be a normal number of new messages.

try to "Reset" the groups, and then re-download the headers.

Yep, that usually does the trick. Un-subscribing and re-subscribing does it
here, has to be done every now and then.
