And some RN "purists" consider 11.730 as the "original" or "traditional" RN frequency! The Dutch national anthem is my favorite of all countries. They play it at the end of each Dutch language program transmission. -----= Posted via Newsfeeds.Com, Uncensored Usenet News =----- http://www.newsfeeds.com - The #1 Newsgroup Service in the World! -----== Over 100,000 Newsgroups - 19 Different Servers! =----- ! |

@storefull-2312.public.lawson.webtv.net: I bemoaned the day they re-recorded the carrilon bells sign-on----sacrelige! When did that happen, do you recall? The current bells sound (to my ears anyway) the same as the ones used in 1998 and 1978. The 1978 recording at http://www.asahi-net.or.jp/~RP4N-KWM...nd2/index.html seems to suggest a slightly different key or pitch. When did R. Netherlands abandon the short martial music intro that followed the carillon? It's present in the 1978 recording and I remember it from the mid-sixties but I can't recall when it disappeared. ---- |
