Nordmende Globetraveler Super dial lamps

Does any member know the original dial lamps used in this vintage world
band receiver? Only 1 socket remains. . . . all the others and original
lamps were replaced and illumination is quite marginal. Have also been
unable to locate schematic for this model. Any help would be most
appreciated. Believe the lamps would be typical 7v that were used in
similar Globetravelers. . .except that the unit uses 6 D-size batteries,
and can operate with a 12-16 VAC "wall wart".
Respectfully,
Robert

If it's still available anywhere, these people will have it:

But ask for the catalog by mail on the website - ten times as much
in that.
Good luck with it.

I don't know the Nordmende radio in particular, but many Euro sets come with
frosted 7V minuiture screw base bulbs. Something like them may still be
availiable from auto parts stores or maybe VW dealers, but maybe without the
frosted glass. If you want to check out some part numbers, check out:

.. T-3 1/4 Miniature Screw Base should be a good place to start. Once you
get a part number, you can find a seller with a search engine. I think
Radio Shack may still have these, at least in their 6.3V form. I know I saw
some screw base socketsat RS a few days ago, and they may be adapatable.
I'm assuming these are 6.3 - 7V bulbs, and not some odd 9V variation. Check
with a voltmeter.

White LEDs are almost a good deal compared to bulbs, and should last just
about forever. Shouldn't be hard to figure a proper dropping resistor and
mounting method.
