Default Another passing from the world of radio.

Compuserve (AOL) has apparently pulled the plug on the Hamnet forum.
As one of the early forums on Compuserve, it was at one time a very
busy online resource for SWL's and ham's alike. Hamnet along with the
FIDONET boards gave many of us online access to other hobbyists around
the country and ultimately around the world. Anyone remember dialing
up at 1200 baud and typing CIS to enter the world of Compuserve?

Anyway Hamnet along with many other Compuserve forums are suffering
declining membership. Competition from the internet combined with
benign neglect by Compuserve and AOL resulted in many of us drifting
elsewhere.

At one time it was active and fun, but to be honest I haven't checked
into Hamnet for several months.
