I guess I could say that was/is my 'first' piece with the shortwave bands.
My Mom had ordered it for herself and once I started getting into radio she
gave it to me becasue she never used hers.

It's not under the 'Rat Shack' name but under the 'Rhapsody' name. Actually
it's a very nice radio ans mine is still in mint condition, I keep the
'pleather' oiled to give it the mint/shiny look.

Something I never thought about until I read that ebay description is the it
takes 4 d batteries, I've never used it with just the batteries, I bet
that'd make it even better. :-)

Very nice piece to have.
