See perfesser....this post proves my point about the fragmentation of the
white race. What do you want to bet Mr. Chesto is white, and got permission
to run his training video from a "white" school board? And the school board
gets it's policies from the city voters who in large part are....you guessed
it ...white.


Maybe it says more about the unity of most of the white race to oppose the type
of race hatred promulgated by backward-thinking neanderthals from the National
Alliance.

After all, they are a pretty big embarassment to most whites.

Finally, something we agree on, MB! I think it would be great to be a
colorblind society in regards to race. What irks me is that the same people
that have a problem with groups like the "National Alliance" usually don't
see anything wrong with "The United Negro College Fund," or "Miss Black
America."

To me, the ideas behind each of these organizations are equally flawed and
are not the vision of MLK's "not by the color of their skin, but by the
content of their character" viewpoint. Racism is racism, period.

The problem is that many whites want to believe that the only current form of
race discrimination is against whites. They close their eyes to the real
remnants of race hatred that would preclude many blacks from obtaining
employment in the absence of anti-discrimination laws.

That's why it's good that Strom periodically resurfaces in his demented
attempts at ethnic evangelism. We need to be constantly reminded of how some
members of our white race hurt the race far more than they help it.

In other words, Strom independently disproves any claim of Causasian
superiority.

whine.

Nothing causes blacks to prostitute themselves, sell and consume drugs, or
commit 65% of the violent crime though they only represent 15% of the
population. Well, one thing does add to it, whiners such as yourself,
hidden from the dangerous and violent populations of blacks, while
obsessing about how they should have been treated.

Who cares whether or not Strom feels that blacks are inferior, I can tell
you with assurance that they are dangerous, and will remain that way until
they are willing to take the blame for the wrongs they perpetrate on
society, remain that way until black males decide that monogamy isn't all
that bad and stop depositing children all around the city (in excess of 70%
of inner city children born to blacks are born out of wedlock, with a
father that soon moves on to other conquests), and remain that way as long
as society feels that blacks deserve special treatment since 150 years ago
blacks were slaves.

Thanks for putting my thoughts into choerent text.

I Do remember , right after 9/11, how some of my co-workers;- and freinds..
were harassed and threatened just because they were darker skinned than their
attackers.

These are sad times we live in, with fanatics and lunatics trying to pit one
group against the other..

It's a real small planet, and although we all have our traditions
and are all different in some way,
we have to learn to
just get along.

So can I, Dan. However, it is difficult to find any remnants of that sad
history in the south (or the north for that matter) after over three decades
of legislated equality.

Unfortunately, as I mentioned in my previous post, most people still see
nothing wrong with remnants from the other side of that struggle. I find
them equally disgusting.

Most people are just desensitized to the wrongness of these programs. Try
inserting the word "white" into the name of any race-based organization or
event (NAACP, Miss Black America, Congressional Black Caucus, etc.) and
think about how it sounds. If it's wrong one way, then it's wrong both
ways.

I think that most white folks recognize to some degree on going forms
of discrimination (racism) in our society. But they also view Quotas,
Guide Lines and Set-A-Sides as an 'equal' form of discrimination
(racism) in our society. (Two WRONGS do not make a Right.)

An old 'red-neck' white man who killed a young black man in the 1950s
in a Southern State.
- Because the young man was 'black' is a Racist and a Murder.
- - This was a racially motivated Hate Crime then.

A young black man who kills an old white man in the 2000s in a
Northern - Western State's City.
- Because the old man is 'white' and "WHITEY" has to Pay is a Racist
and a Murder.
- - This is a racially motivated Hate Crime today.

IMHO: Most white folks FEEL that they are being 'told' by the Media
and the Courts that the young black mans crime is not a Hate Crime;
and in fact may be excusable because of our racist society.

EQUALLITY is Not a State of Law.

This alone shows what YOU are. An anonymous coward whose first instinct is to
lashout with falsehoods. I am neither gay or as insecure in my sexuality as you
seem to be.

And I did manage to live in the slums of Detroit for two years. Not nearly the
hell I am sure you assume it to be.

Here in Louisville, the nation's 16th largest city, many blacks are starting to
move out into the suburbs of Jefferson County. These blacks are actually adding
to the security of these neighborhoods. Many are police, teachers and retail
professionals. Their children play peacefully with the white kids in the
neighborhood. There are still plenty of problems in the area, but I think that
the breakdown of segregated communities is actually helping the situation.

So, Soliloquy, why are you so scared? The real problem isn't race, but poverty.
When you examine the fact that while blacks do commit more crimes, when you
control for income level, poor whites commit crimes at disproportionate
numbers.

I think there are legitimate arguments for re-focusing quotas from race to
class. The type of diversity we should be shooting for should be the type that
opens the door for all people disadvantaged by the social conditions to which
they found themselves being born.

But most Republicans wouldn't like that, either, would they?

First, and foremost, I want to thank you, RHF, for not casting this issue as
part of the one-world socialist conspiracy that seems to so occupy your
concerns. This is progress.

I don't think we are too far apart on this issue.

I, personally, think quotas and set-asides should be based on economic
opportunities instead of race. Poor whites are often disadvantaged by the poor
communities and schools they attend. Helping these individuals get a fair
chance of education and employment seems more important than creating
opportunity for a minority born to a wealthy family and whose family's wealth
allowed them to attend Harvard.

Hate crime laws are difficult to resolve. While prosecutors often threaten such
charges to facilitate plea bargains, I've noticed that very few cases result in
sentence enhancements. I think there are clearly on-going examples of white
supremacists who deserve to have their sentences significantly enhanced. In our
urban slums, however, poor economic conditions simply make it more likely that
both races are at significantly greater risk of crime. I'm not sure that most
black-on-white crime is out of some desire for racial purity as much as it is
simply the fact that the white victims are perceived to be a more likely means
of quick economic gain.

We have a society where the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting
poorer. No matter what their race might be. Life will continue to be dangerous
under such conditions. Anyone who thinks that there is no such thing as
class-based discrimination in this great nation is as blind as those that
suggest that racial discrimination is a thing of the past.

Everyone deserves a fair break, whatever their race.

But my vision probably just screams "one-word socialist conspiracy" to most
Republicans, who seem to blindly feel that $300 tax cuts and private school
vouchers are the way to resolve class discrimination.

We need new solutions, not just more blind racial and political partisanship.
