PCR-1000 available for remote control and listening
If you would like to DX from western Pennsylvania this weekend or if you
just want to listen to local Pittsburgh radio, my Icom PCR-1000 is available for remote control via the Internet. To remotely control my radio, just hit [Shift-F9] from within SWLog, type in www.sillett.us.eu.org, and click CONNECT. SWLog is short for Shortwave Log, my logging and radio control program. You can download SWLog from www.sillett.us.eu.org as well. The program also works with the R75, NRD-545, HF-250, and RX-320 radios. Once connected, you'll get the link for the audio stream. I have the stream set to 20 kbps, which should work over dial-up as well as broadband. (Of course this assumes that the audio encoder doesn't lock up as it tends to do.) I plan on having the PCR-1000 available for public use through the weekend. Bob |
