"The New Anti-Semitism".
When will the hackneyed obsession by the major media with Semitism or Anti-Semitism end? Recently the anniversary of the slaughter of millions of Ukrainians has come and gone without media fanfare. Why should the Russian president's (Stalin) order for the slaughter of 7,000,000 (yes folks, that's MILLION) be of more concern than the rise of the "New Anti-Semitism"? http://www.ericmargolis.com/ And elsewhere for information concerning the slaughter. N.B., the listed site mentions 7,000,000 people murdered, exceeding the number of Jews killed by the Germans during WWII. Obviously this can't be allowed to stand, therefore, some sites list the number as 5,000,000 killed, and others blame Hitler for killing more Ukrainians than Stalin. But what are a few MILLION people among friends. Why is the death of 5 million to 7 million people forgotten while we are forced daily to relive the Holocaust in movies and print? http://www.academia.org/campus_repor...ch_2000_4.html I guess there's not a lot of Ukrainians in the media! Actually earlier today I had the misfortune of reading the U.S. News and World Report article entitled "The New Anti-Semitism". The article explains that virtually the entire world now has major grievances with Israel, much of the world believes that Israel significantly adds to the world's woes, and the article continues by explaining the since the U.S. has a separation of Church and State, this makes the U.S. the ideal place for Jews, where they won't need to vie with other religions for a position of importance. In the article, there are scenes of the Torah, one having been recently destroyed allegedly by an Anti-Semite, being carried to its "funeral". Yes that's right folks, they were having a funeral for it. I support most kinds of religion, and have deference for Judaism as well, for their people, beliefs, rituals, etc. It's rather a shame that those Jewish writers don't have the same respect for Catholic Priests (the innocent ones at least), or Christians in general, or the rituals of Christians. Christians are the endless source of derision for many of today's authors, playwrights, and screenwriters. But the oddities of Judaism always gets the free, unmolested ride. Remember the Ukrainians. Dr. Artuad -- To know and to be, this is not even a question, there is no alternative. You see it clearly in the loneliest little avenues between particles and waves, shunned even by the gregarious quark and unknown by the various strands of time, so big it cannot be seen, yet so little it is immovable, lies the fabric of the ultimate reality gripped in the tiny fist of the all or nothing." |
