AM/FM PC Radio

Hi all I was reading through the archives concerning AM/FM PC radios.
The ones that keep coming up are WinRadio, TenTek and Icom, but they
look to be overkill for what I need. I am looking for a way to record
an AM station at a set time from my PC so that I could listen to it
when I get home or the next day. Is there a radio that will allow me
to do this?

Thanks for the advice.

Patch the earphone jack of your existing radio to the LINE IN jack on
your PC, and tell Total Recorder to record it at the desired time. I do
that for DXing purposes and it works fine.

(caveat: if you're recording a long program instead of just a few
seconds of station ID, this will eat a LOT of hard-disk space! - but
with Total Recorder you can apparently install a MP3 or Ogg compression
program that will considerably reduce the amount of space required.)

I recently found on Ebay a Dlink radio that plugs directly to your USB port.
It's only FM though. It does support direct recording to disk. I paid a
total of $18.00 including shipping from somewhere in GB. I tried to get more
cause my friends saw it and wanted on but can't find them lately on Ebay.
It's called Dlink DRU-R100 USB Radio. It works great and sounds good though
my computer speakers.

My computer goes into my home system and I can record it to the VCR. If
you are not set up that way, just run a cable between PC and VCR. Cheap
method

Thank you all for the responses! I saw the DLink product mentioned a
couple of places but when I went to their web site I was not able to
find it. I do not think they make it anymore. Unfortunately I want
AM so the Total Recorder program may be the best option. Hmmmm...
where did I put that spare hard drive?
