KOL Israel broadcasts to the US - I've listened often -
but only a 15 minute newcast in English.

Unless you speak Hebrew, you might want to go to
their webpage instead.

I live in California and I've never heard Israel in English. But I have
heard their Hebrew service. Go figure.

I too live in California (Southern) and Kol Israel can be a tough one.

Israel is on the air to NoAmerica as follows: 0500-0515 GMT on
9435\11605\7475\6280\17600. Also at 1800-1815 GMT on 17545 and 11605. Again
at 2000-2030 GMT on 13720\9435\11605\15640\7520 and 6280. Other than English
they use at least nine other languages in their schedules.

Good Listening and DX!

The website to look at is:
http://www.israelradio.org/

This website is not really official -- but official enough that they
mention it on the air during Kol Israel English broadcasts. It has
their latest schedule - links to live and on demand audio IBA TV
English news video and links to the IBA's website.

The current plan of record is that they'll cut all languages from
shortwave besides English, French and Persian as of Jan 1...

Also, realize that via the WRN (World Radio Network) they are
available in many ways -- direct broadcast audio satellite, via the
Internet, even via cellphone!
WRN North American reception info:

I don't check this email address -- please post any replies.

From what I've heard, Israel's focus is on providing service to the
Jewish diaspora in Hebrew and propaganda broadcasts to its neighbors in
Arabic. Not that that's bad, but Israel could use a stronger voice on
SW, especially to Europe where it's not very popular.
