The future of radio, especially shortwave radio, is cutting costs. I
suppose DRM would be helpful to the extent that it would reduce the
electric bill at the transmitter.

Most broadcasters have found cutbacks in languages and programming
effective cost cutters. Some have pulled the plug on SW broadcasting.

Dave Frantz of WWRB likes SSB for reduced transmission costs.
