Radio Shack PRO96
 

I hope no one minds my being a bit off topic - I know this is not a scanner
group :)

I just got the radio shack flyer, and they are pedaling the "All-new digital
trunking scanner". I'm wondering if anyone has one of these yet, and what
they think of it. At $499, I am curious if it is worth the money, or if
there is anything better for the same number of greenbacks S. Thanks in
advance.

I heard about the new scanners but it seems like there was a add on board
that you also have to buy that was quite expensive to pick up the digital??
I could be wrong?? Anyone know if there is anything else required besides
just purchasing the scanner to pick up the digital stuff?

Hi KB, that ad says "Internet upgradeable ! No expesnive decoder card
needed."
I just wonder how many digital systems there are in service rightnow anyway.
I also wonder if the feds would be monitorable using this LOL.
