Why do you people obsess about Hal?

Have you ever watched Jerry Springer, or listened to Howard Stern?

Do you believe that outrageous content is limited to so called Right Wing
Fanatics?

While listening to the Liberty Net this morning (it ended around 09:00
UTC), the last person to sign off talked about Mel Gibson's new movie,
"The Passion of Christ". The Liberty Net individual had read that Mel's
father was a Far Right Wing Extremist Holocaust denier.

A what? For some strange reason, Jews have become the eminent race of
persecution. It doesn't matter that many MILLIONS of non-Jewish people
have been exterminated in various countries at various times, nooooo, the
only people that matter are the Jews. So if you endeavor to bring this
odd contradiction to the world's attention, you are a Holocaust denier.

Was the Holocaust evil? Yes. Did 6,000,000 Jews die in the Holocaust?
Probably. Were great deals of others murdered in the Holocaust years as
well? Yes. Do we ever hear of the "others"? No.

I have cancelled the Direct TV channel package of Starz and Encore
because they had become the Holocaust network (and to a degree, the gay
network). I watch TV for entertainment, but the idea of 500 movies a week
that have the Holocaust as the topic is a little too much for me. (a
friend at work refers to the History Channel as the Holocaust Channel).
Well, actually they didn't have 500 Holocaust movies a week, but they
were either Holocaust, or movies about anti-Semitism, or movies about
Jewish life somewhere, always featuring a "persecuted" story line.

There once was an amusing movie about Jews in the Southern United States
and how they merged with some of the Southern customs. Problem is that
there is NEVER an amusing story about Christians anywhere, Christians are
always portrayed as Far Right Wing Extremist Holocaust Deniers.

But then I guess this is where we began anyway.

You see it clearly in the loneliest little avenues between particles and

lies the fabric of the ultimate reality gripped in the tiny fist of the
all or nothing."

No, you're not a holocaust denier. You're just a holocaust minimizer. But,
you're right. Mankind's sad habits have consistently led to attempts to
eliminate one another. The Turkish Armenian purges, Stalinist cleansing,
Hiltler's Russian scourges, and US distribution of smallpox-infected blankets
to Native Americans are just a few of the sad moments of human history that we
often tend to historically overlook. I applaud those writers that strive to
remind us that "sensible" people have often been party to atrocities comitted
in the name of the common good. I haven't heard of anyone being accused of
being a holocaust denier simply becaused they focused on another holocaust.

Uh, as other, more "patriotic" newsgroup members have pointed out, we are a
Judeo-Christian culture. The Jews are our religious roots. Also, more Jews
ended up in the US than will ever see Israel. They are intellectual people.
Many of our finest writers and entertainers are Jewish. Do you find discomfort
in that?

No movies about Christians? You not get out much? You do have a gift for
hyperbole. Never an amusing story about Christians?

Your logical credibility is thin. You seem to be angered that so much
inordinate attention is heaped on Jews. Poor guy, I guess that USENET makes you
feel that you can fight back for more attention....

Whatever, Soliloquy.

Good catch, Professor. And let us not overlook that many of them are
leading figures in medical and scientific research fields.

Didja know that a co-developer of the root canal was a Jewish
professor in the Emory University Dental School?

MWB,

"US distribution of smallpox-infected blankets to Native Americans"

At the time this was done the USofA did NOT Exist [.]

So 'place' this "Claim of Bio-Warfare" on Native Americans directly
on the European Governments of that time of Britten, France and Spain.

That frightening little piece of early chemical-bio warfare took place during
the late 1800s, RHF. About 100 years after the US fought it's war of
independence - ya know, that war where we lost every battle to the British
except for the final one, where LaFayette beat Cornwallis.

I know it's hard for you to believe, but US policy in regards to Natives was a
clear policy of total eradication. Many of my ancestors were killed in the
Trail of Tears, where 90% of the Cherokees in the Southeast US were killed in a
forced march to Oklahoma.

And thanks for showing everyone that you lack any historical understanding of
this nation of "love for everyone."
