simply as "The Pope". Brother Stair always refers to "The Pope of

Many non-Catholics who do not believe in the authority of the Pope refer to
him as "The Pope of Rome", so as to infer "he's THEIR Pope, not ours.. "

Perhaps because that's the fellows title: Pope of Rome

And not knowing much about Profit Scare, I can only imagine, that to him,
Pope of Rome sounds flashier than just The Pope.

That brings up another question. Why would the Prophet envision his
death at the hands of the Pope of Rome? The Pope is widely regarded as
a peaceful man with a high moral character. Certainly the Pope could
retune to Vatican Radio, EWTN or the chanters from New Mexico.

I'd kinda think the Prophet would be even more frightened of people who
lost small fortunes in previous doomsday scares.

The Prophet has singled out the Pope of Rome.

Yes!

And if so, why?

Because propagation for Alex Jones and James Lloyd is spotty. The Power
Hour rarely comes in well any more. Dr. Len Horowitz is gone. But I
can always depend on the Last Day Prophet of God!
