RAI booming in at 0430
 

Rai coming in strong last nite at 0430 on 7235 kHz and somewhat good
at 6100 kHz in Italian and English. Their website says that the
English broadcast is beamed to the Mediterrean basin and North Africa.
It's very rare to hear RAI loud and clear and with excellent
modulation.

I haven't' heard her in a long time. She was almost as monotonous as the
woman on Radio Tirana in the bad old days.

Naaww... they got rid of that woman who sounded as if she was going to
fall asleep at the microphone a long time ago. They have another woman
announcer who seems more animated in doing the news.

That canary IS, by the way, has been RAI's trademark for decades. It
was featured in the 1987 Italian movie "Intervista" with Anita Ekberg
