Sorry to see you go Chuck. Perhaps you might stop back from time to time. It's
just a matter of re-subscribing.

And he could also learn how to use the Queen's English properly and
spell "a while", "a lot", and "hobby".

Hey Chuckie, don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.

If you don't have the intelligence to ignore the posts that don't
interest you, you probably shouldn't be allowed to use a computer anyway.

Imagine how boring the following would be;
rec.radio.shortwave.chuck's.approved.articles

Subtract the political posts and what do you have left? About 10
equipment and or listener reports per day. That's exciting.

A world increasingly populated by nitwits that believe that everything
should be tailored to their likes and dislikes. Get a life man. These
people don't represent your siblings and other kin, they have no need to
be empathic to your needs. If they provide help, you are ahead of the
game. Ever try calling support numbers provided with new equipment? Most
likely you won't come close to talking to a human being, let alone come
close to getting your question answered.

You call, and you get the following.

If you speak English, press 1. Then in Spanish they offer the option of
pressing 2.

They go on ad nauseam about promotional programs that they are currently
offering.

They tell you about programs that are no longer being offered.

If you are calling to talk to a specific person, enter their exchange
now.

If you want to speak with Amateur Radio products sales, press 1 now.

If you want to speak with Amateur Radio products tech support, press 2
now.

If you want to speak with consumer electronic sales (this includes radio
receiver section as well, but you didn't figure this out until the 30th
time that you called, either because you pressed the button for Spanish,
or didn't press anything in a timely manner, or you entered the incorrect
area).

Anyway, you finally get to technical support, but there is no one to talk
to, you need to listen to an automated list of common problems and their
solution. You've been on the phone for 4 hours already, and when you have
exhausted the list, they offer to connect you to technical support, you
hear the phone transfer, and viola, all the lines are busy, please call
back.

You commence to smash your phone into tiny pieces.

Ignore the political and crap, appreciate the help that some people
freely offer, and get on with your life.

The world is not going to conform to Chuck's principles.

To know and to be, this is not even a question, there is no alternative.
You see it clearly in the loneliest little avenues between particles and
waves, shunned even by the gregarious quark and unknown by the various
strands of time, so big it cannot be seen, yet so little it is immovable,
lies the fabric of the ultimate reality gripped in the tiny fist of the
all or nothing."

Perhaps Chuck is getting a life by unsubscribing from this group?
It's his choice... to filter the trolls, or unsubscribe, either way
he's eliminatiing what he sees as a hassle.

No need for name calling here. Wish him well in whatever way
he chooses to access the information he needs.

Good luck to you Chuck. And to Dr. Artaud as well.
