**Saturday februari 14 at 19.00 hours UTC (gmt) the brand new offshore
radio station RADIO RAINBOW INTERNATIONAL is expecting to have its
first official TEST TRANSMISSION from international waters
between the frequency of 3933 - 3937 khz, is 3.933 - 3.937 mhz. in the
76 meter band.
The stations technicians want to have listeners reports from
listeners. It will be a live program from the radio ship with
acquaintance with ship and crew. They are asking to sent your e mails
directly to the ship on this adress;
Following evenings there will be more test transmissions with nice
music programs, in which you can participate by sending a e mail
during the programs.
Please sent this mail to the press and all interested people.

They might make a good showing there if interference and propogation
cooperate, but of late it has been pretty dismal. About all that comes in
around here is Radio Tampa from Tokyo.

Thanks for letting the hams know the frequencies, since that is in the
ham band we will be sure and do lots of transmitting there as well.

We sure as heck won't be hearing it in North America. 1900 UTC is 1400
local EST.

Would be nice if they tested later.

This station is going to get clobbered by North American hams. Hope you're
not expecting to be heard there.

Seems to me though that daytime propagation down there isn't that great that
time of day. You might try a higher frequency, and one that's out of the
ham bands.

My guess is yes, although in some ITU regions, broadcasting is allowed from
3800-4000.

Over here in europe 40 mtr ham band is 3500 to 3800.
3900 to 3950 is mil air band in germany...

But can't get a signal out of the mud. Maybe it will work in some hours...

3500 to 3800 isn't 40 meters, it is 75 meters.
