Sony ICF-7600 analog help

I recently aquired a ICF - 7600 7 band analog receiver and can't seem
to find service data or anything else on it. All I find is stuff about
a digital ICF-7600.

Can anyone help?

TIA

Technically, it's the Sony 7600A. It was the low-tech receiver of choice for
foreign journalists in the late '70s. Excellent FM capabilities for a Sony.

I don't have any of the service manuals, but I'm looking at one right now. Is
there any specific question I might be able to answer?

(Which, btw, would be either the ICF-SW7600, ICF-7600D or ICF-7600DS.)

No. The "A" was a dual conversion rig, the original ICF-7600 is a single
conversion receiver.

This would rather fit the older model, the ICF-7600A only came out a few
years later, in the early 80s. (The information I have says 1983, but
this seems a bit late.)

One for me perhaps ;). Can you see how many IF filters the thing uses
for AM and FM, and possibly on what IF/which type?

Stephan (maybe one day I'll be able to get an ICF-7600A/AW for less than
20 EUR...)

Try Google advanced search and type "Sony 7600A" into the 'with all of the
words' box.
This will find the "The Sony 7600 series page" at
http://stephan.win31.de/sony7600.htm
When you have been through the list, try some different words.
Don't forget to click on "Groups" and you might find a link to a useful
Website there.
It's worth getting to know Google.

Well, I did use Google and that page is fine but covers very little on my
radio. I'm looking for some service information and haven't been able to
find any. Also the groups are mostly for the digital Sony's. Also checked
the 7600 groups/files and nothing. That is why I inquired here.
