Connecting Satellit 800 to PC for CW/SITOR/FAX reception

What's the best way to make this connection? Currently, I have my cable
running from the un-amplified audio output (which is an RCA jack on the
Satellit 800) to my PC's sound card. Is this the best way to go?

You will have to have software to decode the signal, or a dedicated receiver
for the purpose.

that's the way I'd do it. Biggest problem is pumping too much audio into
your soundcard. The rec. jack will be independent of volume and tone
controls and would be best.
