Realistic Weatheradio Alert
I picked one of these up at a local thrift store for $1.98 (US) on
Thursday. It's a bigger cousin to the famous Cube, made in the 80s. It is gross looking but works fine except for interference from a nearby FM tower. I know that stuff of this era used the power cord as an FM antenna, so I'm not sure what to do about it except move it around to find a sweet spot. I've been looking for a weather radio for a while but was unwilling to plunk down $70 for a fully computerized Midland. |
My Pro 94 and Pro 2032 scanners both have all the weather service
frequencies. It's a lot of money compared to what you got, but what they hay. Strength and Honor "tommyknocker" wrote in message ...
