sony sw77 questions...
 

saw this radio at the sony style store- $299.00.
it's got a lot more features than i need or can
understand. been thinking about buying the sat 800
but wondering if this is a better buy. i'll use this
as the main home radio,etc. heard a lot about the sat 800
both good and bad. heard vary little about the sony.
any comments pro/con? thanks. please post, email is munged...

You saw it at the Sony Store on the second floor of Plaza Las Americas
Mall in San Juan Puerto Rico. They are not reconditioned receivers but
new machines selling for $300.00. Bought mine in October and really
satisified with it. They've already run out and are not bringing any
more on stock. According to the mgr., the SW-77 series will be
discontinued this year. Sad, isn't it.

at a good price on the web. i have been wanting a
a top end sony radio for my own collection before i
retire. btw, would love to retire to your island. over
the last 54 years i have been all over the world. 64
countries. and, PR is one of the most beautiful
places i ever saw. i'm just an old beach bum...
