What are your two favorite shows?
I hope this is appropriate to assk here.
What are the top one or two shows on SW that you enjoy most? I spend a lot of time scanning around and, although I have WRTH and Passport I find them to be a little inaccurate many times (unless I am just not using them correctly). Looking for neat stuff to listen to is rather like the proverbial haystack hunt so I thought I would s=cheat and ask all of you! Let the titles begin rolling in..... Clear Skies and 73, -Al |
Alex Jones of course. :-)

Lucky Ocean's "Planet" on Radio Australia & Kate Malloch's "Jazz Beat" on Radio
Canada's Northern Service. Iz it coincidental that both are national productions broadcast internationally? Honourable Mentions to Radio Netherland's "Good Life" & "Research File"! |

I really enjoy Radio Taiwan Intl. at 0200 UTC on 5950. They have a program schedule at their website which shows the breakdown of their one-hour show. Different days of the week offer various programming, but I enjoy all of it. Linda |
Go to http://www.wwcr.com/ and download a program guide in text, PDF, or
XLS format --- four transmitters. OR http://www.wwrb.org and click on program guide at the bottom of the screen --- five transmitters. They both have programs you will love and others you will love to hate! :-) Al ===================== Al Arduengo wrote: I hope this is appropriate to assk here. Thanks, Al, for posting that info. I made up my own programming booklet, but
hadn't gotten to our U.S. broadcasters yet. How funny - I went to the link and and I know one of the men with a program on there. On the transmitter/frequency page, which of the five transmitters targets where? Or could I pick up any of them in the eastern U.S.? My favorites are Radio Netherlands nightly new and its Monday science show. Would like to listen regularly to the BBC's "Off the Shelf", but I can't figure out how to find its schedule, especially since the BBC dropped its transmissions directly aimed at North America. Leonard BBC never stopped broadcasting to the US. It's called NPR. Every few hours or so. There - now you can say you learned something from a liberal. Regards |

Radio Pigmeat International,of course. Other than monitoring my own signal while I've got the 15 watt flamethrower on,I don't do a lot of listening to the lesser broadcasters. Radio Mali used to be good, they'd just play music and id every few hours. No talking is always a plus in any form of broadcasting. (GO BEARCATS) wrote in message ... Where and when can Mystery Theater be found on shortwave? I'd love to
listen to that. I'll add to that the "Amos & Andy' show on WBCQ/0400UCT in the Ohio area EDST. Only runs four to five minutes. I like what Ed Bolten (who has preserved and archived the shows) says after the shows. Kind of hard to believe, but I believe it per my Grandfather and Dad. It's very nice of him to go out of his way to do everything he does with NO sponsors. FWIW - Pepsodent was the sponsor back then. ~*~*Monitoring The AirWaves~*~ *****GO BEARCATS***** Hammarlund HQ129X /Heathkit Q Multiplier Hammarlund HQ140X Multiple GE P-780's(GREAT BCB Radios) RCA Victor *Strato- World* RCA Victor RJC77W-K(Walnut Grain) 1942 Zenith Wave Magnet 6G 601M Cathedral/ Ross#2311/Rhapsody-MultiBand DX100/394/398/399/402 OMGS Transistor Eight/Realistic 12-1451 Henry Kloss Model One/Bell+Howell ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Alpha Delta DX Sloper 57ft. 600ft. 12AWG.
