Kaito Putt Putts 820khz

I have a Kaito KA-1102 and I find that it putt putts on 820khz. This
is the NPR station in the New York area. When the light is on, the
putt putt goes up to 840khz, but when the light turns out it drops
back to 820khz. It pretty much makes listening to 820khz very
difficult.
I'm still trying out the radio on the bands and so far other than this
annoyance everything is quite impressive.

Hi Rickattic:
Thanks; keep us appraised of what the testing finds..

- Tried 820 on 2 different radios;
No Put Put, in either, just a depressing " NPR type" story about a Suicide
Bomber in Gaza
& his lonley ex best freind ( or something )

All them 70 year old virgins're gettin quite a surprise up there in Paradise.
Havent had to say " Go **** off " in years

I have a Degen 1102 with the same noise problem, but on mine, its on 770Khz,
which unfortunately is WABC. Definitely not a problem on 2 other radios I
own, so it must be internally generated. I also noticed when the lamp is
turned on, the noise diminishes, but didn't test to see if it shifts to
another frequency. Everything else about this radio is great. Doesn't
matter much to me, since most of my MW listening is on a SRIII.
