Thank God you're a Norskie, Ned, because the
Swedes have a canned, fermented fish product
that's ready to eat when the can starts to bulge from
the fermentation process.

As for me, the only fish I like comes from the lakes
around he walleye, crappie and such. Hey, you're
a Norskie, tell me something: How come nobody ever
eats Northerns?

Dat lutefisk tastes yust like you put da fish on da doorstep and a doggie come
along and peed all over it and it sat for anudder veek..pheeeewwwwwwww!!!!

Dat's easy on da Northern Pike, fillet dem out and yust use da last third of da
fillet. Or, do like ve do in da nortland, grind dem up and make fishballs!

Dey are some boney though!

Steve, northerns(neds) are great eating! Especially in the winter when the
meat is firmer. There are a couple methods to filet them boneless.

I am now fully and completely "doggoned."
I'm going to have to "bone" up on my filleting
skills (snicker) - I can't imagine turning them
into fish balls.

they HAD balls).

73,

Yes it does take some practice. A friend in 'sconny showed me. If you fish
for anything other than northers or sunnies in wisconsin they look at you
funny. Heres a guy selling a video about it.

Hey, I'm going to look at that video!
Twenty bucks would be well worth it.

Thanks, Mike!
