And typicaly they used a COURT ORDER going around the issue they failed
to properly PAY for the AIR TIME THEY STOLE. They know they cant achieve their aim by legislative process because they know they wont win that way. So they get what the want from extra-legislative means - go to the courts, just like they did when they used the COURTS rather than the legislature to make school BUSSING a matter of LAW. You DO KNOW that to pay for air time is ADVERTISING? Where is the recent legislation now that McKain & Feingold established that puts limitations on parties spending money for such practices? The insomniacs in Chicago will finally get some sleep. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz zzz Al Franken wasn't talking when when Air America came back. It was Randi Rhodes. Al can put me to sleep in ten minutes, but I don't often listen to Randi that long. She's way too annoying. I find boredom more comfortable than annoyance, especially when the cure for radio annoyance is so simple. For me, it's the style and not the politics. I find her opposite number, Sean Hannity, every bit as annoying. This time I was tuned in just long enough to be sure I wasn't listening to some Korean having an obnoxious fit. It took about five seconds, just to be doubly sure. However, I think Rhodes and/or Hannity could do well on SW radio. Just save all the histrionics for the fight aginst the Illuminiti, the New World Order, the Freemasons, the Council on Foriegn Relations and Satan himself. Next to that lineup, the Republicrats seem almost harmless. Frank Dresser |

I spent 30 minutes listening to Al Franken yesterday, and I was totally
bored out of my mind. He was interviewing Richard Ben-Veniste. It was about the driest 30 minutes of radio I've heard in a long time. Maybe Franken was trying to be serious for some reason, but it didn't work at all for me. Franken is not a good interviewer. He's not trained as a journalist, he's an entertainer. And radio is all about entertainment. Remember, Rush is a radio personality who happens to be conservative. Franken needs to quit taking himself so seriously and concentrate on being funny. C'mon liberals. We conservatives need some competition out there. Competition promotes excellence, go give us your best shot! |
