Default Who's good at shortwave radio repair?

Is there anyone on the East coast that is good?

Tracy

You're not being very specific. What sort of shortwave radio needs to be
repaired? What is the problem with the radio?

And "good" might mean many things. Will you be walking through the entire
East Coast area, carrying your radio like a lantern?

Do you intend to be the modern Diogenes of the Superheterodyne?

If it's glowing like a lantern it may be too late to repair it.

A "good" repairman can fix anything.

Well, more so and not all that and whatsoever.

Almost War Story: [MAC=Maintenance Allocation Chart.
It tells, in the Army, what "echelon" is
allowed to repair something or udder.]

Time: 1986 or '87

Place: Uijongbu, Korea (Camp Red Cloud)

Unit: 332d Military Intelligence Company ("The Deuce")

Communications/Electronics - FM radios (so called "jeep" radios or "FoxMike"
or 47's), jammers (BIG jammers), Radio Direction Finders, miscellaneous odds
and ends

AB, Cp. Carroll, Cp. Henry, Cp. Walker, Cp. Hialeah.... I know there's a few
in there that I've missed.. but we get around a lot.

That may have been true in the days of vacuum tubes but many of todays
consumer electronics products are much too complicated for a repair
person to stay informed on everything.

Time for a sense of humor upgrade, starman. Frank was tweaking the OP's use
of the nebulous (in this usage) adjective "good." Don't feel bad; you
weren't the only one who didn't get it. For everyone who missed the joke, I
recommend:
