Adopt a DXer!... Donations humbly accepted via PayPal...

is the account!

Your donations will allow a DXer in a Democrat controlled state to

continue to
send out reception reports, keep the radios maintained, and pay for upkeep

on
the shack.

You will receive a monthly report right here in this forum as to how your

very
own adopted DXer is doing!

Won't you please open your heart, and your wallet?

I can certainly understand your enthusisiam for the rare catches and long
distance echos which have been received recently from the Overcomer
Ministry. But you're asking for donations before you've established a track
record of false predictions.

I'll suggest you might do better if you get a bucket of soapy water, a
squegee and some crumpled up editions of Monitoring Times, Pop Com and the
DX Listening Digest. Clean some car windshields at busy intersections, and
you might get a few quarters. That might not seem like much, but it sure
beats trying to compete in the shortwave donation business with Brother
Stair.

I can fully appreciate anyone's scepticism concerning R.G. Stair, but I
like him. Biblical prophesy has always been a passion of mine. Would any
of you heavy-hitting shortwave pros know of another shortwave "end of
the world" broadcast out there, besides Alex Jones, or news-watch
magazine? Darren

Sure. Don't miss Alex Jones' pal Texe Marrs:

I'm listening to Pastor Buddy on WWCR 5.070 now at 7:30pm central. He
sounds as if he's read all of Texe Marr's books.

I must be losin' it. How could I forget SW radio's other great source of
unconfirmed prophesy? It's James Lloyd:

http://www.christianmedianetwork.com/bschedule.htm

James Lloyd's most recent false prediction was the devastating July 4th
attack of last year. A couple of days after last year's routine 4th of
July, James Lloyd was talking about the incubation period of the SARS
infection, and how his prophesy would turn out to be correct, if the Chinese
had packed the fireworks with the SARS virus.

James Lloyd may be SW radio's second prophet, but he has a first-class
psycho laugh. Just listen for the Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha. Richard Widmark couldn't do
it better.

Needless to say, none of the SW prophets has more credibility than Brother
Stair.

Liking Biblical study is a good thing. But profit Stair's
"prophecies" have a STRONG habit of *not* coming true.

"When a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the thing does not
come about or come true, that is the thing which the LORD has not
spoken. The prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be
afraid of him." Deut 18:22.

So much for profit Stair's false predictions.

If you want to study Bible prophecy, check out:
"The Holman Commentary on Revelation" by Kendall Easley
"Worthy is the Lamb" by Ray Summers
"End Times Fiction" by Gary DeMar
"Encyclopedia of Biblical Prophecy" by Barton W. Payne

These can be had for a low price at
http://www.amazon.com (or used at
http://www.alibris.com for an even lower price).

You'll find these works much more reliable than the glop being poured
out by profit Stair and his kind.

Good luck and God-speed in your studies.

Hey Frank, thanks, I've looked for Tex before, but I wasn't spelling his
name right. Darren

Oops .. that should be J. Barton Payne.

Go to either bookseller and search by author's name, J. Barton Payne.

The "Encyclopedia of Biblical Prophecy" will come up as the first or
second hit.

Accept no subistitutes. Texe Marrs and Tim LaHaye have similar
titles. You might as well listen to profit Stair.

Enjoy.

I, too, have a passion for end-time Biblical prophecy.

It's fun to listen to all the present-day, self-proclaimed prophets who pull
conspiracy theories into everything. The shortwave bands offer rich reserves
of this kind of material, ripe for the listening.

As far as my own beliefs, they're probably 90% in line with Tim LaHaye. The
last book I read was "Glorious Appearing," the 12th book of the Left Behind
series. I am currently reading the latest companion book, "The Truth Behind
Left Behind" by Mark Hitchcock and Thomas Ice. As I say, I agree with most
of it, but certainly not all.

I think the Left Behind series, combined with the y2k scare, combined with
the September 11 attacks, has made prophecy very appealing to a lot of
people since 1999. I just hope that people have enough common sense to avoid
sending all their hard-earned belongings to the likes of Brother Stair
during a weak moment.

The *best*? Is this one of the profit's false predictions? Or do I
need to sell my R4c and my Frog-A-Hundred and my DX-398 and buy THE
BEST shortwave radio the profit has ever seen?

I called and gave hima reception report on his answering machine and requested
that free book on Jerusalem and with it cam ethe BEST radio EVER. That little
Kaito.

Bwahahahahahh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GO BEARCATS April 28th 04 09:55 AM

And you're right -
the profit never said his sounded good. And he didn't say they hear
good.

He said "they pick up 'most' of my frequencies."

I wonder how many escape, I mean the guy is a prophet. ;-)
