So it is. If this is really 10kw from Tel Aviv aimed at Europe, this
is a pretty good catch. Very under-modulated announcer, but the
music is coming in pretty good. 15 over 9, fading down to 9 here in
Florida at 01:45 UTC..

I think if you looked at a great circle chart you might find that it's
almost a straight shot from Israel beaming to Europe and right over to the
east coast USA.

Interesting program - announcer speaking in Israeli playing American pop
classics, including Martha and the Vandellas' "Heat Wave".

There is a language called "Israeli?" I always thought it was called
"Hebrew."

IAC, I thought it was a good catch for me, since I've never heard it
before, and I've been tuning around this area a lot looking for
pirates. Maybe I've just missed it before.

Same here - It's a new one for me. I'm in Fla also.

Maybe, maybe not. I was thinking that if this is targeted to Europe,
they would be aiming more Northwest than directly West, which is what
the above implies.

Actually I think their target area is the Middle East as that station is more or less for the Israeli military.

At any rate it generally gets out fairly well and is pretty much a regular on 6973.

Enjoy!

It's gone as of 03:45 UTC.

I'm checking them here at 0403, and they were still there (weak) but suddenly gone... I think they signed off.

They supposedly shift to 15785 or so after closing on 6973.

I have a weak signal on 15785 that may or may not be them.
