Supposedly there is a possible way to implement BPL without

Of course, with the way BPL is being fast-tracked, no one is going to
wait for the better technology. In the best of circumstances, "surface
wave" equipment will be phased in as old equipment wears out.

As far as the average Joe is concerned, he can get everything he needs
from cable or satelite TV. He could give a **** about SW or HAM's.

No, he *couldn't* give a **** about SW or HAM's. If he *could* give a
****, that means he has a **** to give. IOW, he cares.

It's "couldn't care less", not "could care less". If you *could* care
less, that means you care now.

As for all the BPL hysteria - it will never happen. It's a pipe dream,
something that might have been useful 10 years ago. It's way too late
now. You're never going to get reliable 2 way communications over
something that was never designed for 2 way, or communications.
