ON TOPIC- sorry, contains no pol. B.S.
 
if ya need a good laugh; i ordered, from the sony
web site. wanted an AC adaptor for my 7600. got the
one, sony and the web site suggested. just got it today.
AC-E60A. made in china. on the back of the blister pack,
under notes, it says: "Do not use this AC adapter with a
radio as it may cause some noises".

I believe that may have been pointed out before. However, it seems as
though some folks experience noise, and some do not when using the
adapter.

Maybe it just depends on which adapter Sony is supplied with and the
notes just happen to be generic.

I'll tell you one thing. I never used the Sony AC adapter with my 7600 or
7600GR when listening to shortwave. For one thing, it made the automatic
frequency scanning stop at every increment, and it really interfered with
reception. No problem on batteries though, and it wasn't a problem for
regular AM or FM.

I find that when I use my AC adaptor as opposed to batteries I get a
lot more information about lying PhD's and ex-military losers. Is
that your experience too?

PWBR mentions the issue with the adapter in their review of the
7600GR, including the bit about the "do not use with a radio" warning.
That is very un-Sony like IMHO.
